The Oxen

The family business has been owned by the Schultis family since 1925 and is now being continued by the fourth generation. The estate was used as a brewery, restaurant and beer store. The well-being of our guests has always been the focus of our activities.

Permanent and, most recently, comprehensive modernisation are the vivid signs of this - they stand for our trust in the future. Certainly the privileged location has helped us to achieve this - Simonswald in ZweiTälerLand offers everything that makes a good holiday - peace, versatility, adventure, sightseeing, culture, combined with Baden coziness.

And for those who don't know: Freiburg with it's historic cathedral, the old town brooks, dreamy Strasbourg (France), the cultural city of Basel (Switzerland), the medieval Vauban fortress Breisach, the Feldberg, the cable cars, Triberg with its waterfalls, and last but not least the world health resort Titisee... all within easy reach. Even the Bodensee is only about 90 km away. One thing should be pointed out - the Europa-Park in Rust, about a 30-minute drive away. This park is considered the world's best of its kind. There is something on offer almost all year round, in the park or in the Rulantica bathing area.

In winter, the snow-covered mountains, Feldberg (1500m), Schauinsland (1250m) and Kandel (1100 m) offer boundless fun for alpine skiers, cross-country skiing fans or snowboarders. And if the weather is really bad, you can visit one of the many thermal baths in the area.
